The PKPP Lewiatan experts deal with broadly defined economic, tax and corporate laws. We monitor changes both in the general and industry legislation, and actively participate in the legislative process at the stage of drafting legal acts in ministries as well as parliamentary works. We also take our own initiatives. In 2005 the expert team developed draft amendment of the VAT law. We apply to the Constitutional Tribunal in matters which entrepreneurs consider to be inconsistent with the constitution and which concern conditions for activity of economic operators.
Polish legal system gives us the power to propose regulatory changes, to put forward our own legislative initiatives and to submit petitions to the Constitutional Tribunal.
- We strive for better trade law and regulations comprising all the aspects of economy in the government and in the Parliament. PKPP Lewiatan experts or associations' representatives participate in the work of the Parliament legislative commissions,
- We keep monitoring the legislative work of the government and the Parliament and, in consultation with our members, we prepare opinions and legal and economic reviews,
- We are entitled to present our own opinions on draft laws and executive regulations that adjust Polish law to the legal system of the EU. We strive for profitable solutions for Polish business,
- We express our standpoint regarding economically important issues such as public budget, the Labour Code, changes in the tax system, the State Labour Inspection, social insurance or minimum wages,
- We provide trade organizations with expert reviews,
- We carry on lobbying actions, reaching political decision-makers and communicate our point of view to the public through the mass media.
