The PKPP Lewiatan task is to influence the shape of the economic and social legislation supporting a harmonious development of the Polish economy. In accomplishing this task the PKPP Lewiatan prepares analyses, opinions and standpoints on matters concerning the creation and improvement of the business conditions in Poland.
Each year we publish “Black List of Barriers” and “Monitoring of the small and medium size enterprises condition”, which act as a basis for the identification of the barriers and threats to the enterprises’ development. Each month we present our own economic index, the Business Index, whose aim is to help in the assessment of the directions and reasons of changes in the economy. We implement numerous projects aimed at the elimination of barriers to the enterprises’ development and thus to the development of the Polish economy.

We believe that the main purpose of Polish economic policy should be long lasting economic growth, fastest among the EU countries. Only dynamic economic development will increase employment rate, improve living conditions in Poland, enable Poland to join highly developed countries and strengthen its international position.
The age of globalization brings both opportunities and threats. Reaching our goals will be possible only if we create an economic system more competitive than that in other countries. Considering the current state of Polish economy, such as: technological and organizational delays, insufficient capital resources and “setting up claims" attitude that lingers on from the former decade, the conditions of performing business activities ought to be significantly more favourable than in the rest of the EU countries.
- We negotiate with trade unions for regulatory solutions which are profitable for business entities,
- We prepare our own macroeconomics expertise (PKPP Lewiatan Business Index) which is an indicator of the state of the economy. It is based on forecasts made by the most eminent Polish economists for the current three, six and twelve months. Experts' reports on the economic situation of individual regions should assist employers and representatives of local administration to work out strategies of economic development of these regions,
- We propose our members for the prestigious economic awards (primarily, for the Economic Award of the President of the Republic of Poland),
- We facilitate business contacts by organizing meetings of associations' representatives with key-representatives of political scene and administration (Prime Minister, Ministers) in order to acquaint them with problems and their solutions elaborated by our experts and members of PKPP Lewiatan,
- We propose the representatives of PKPP Lewiatan to Board of Directors and to committees that supervised state and governmental institutions,
- PKPP Lewiatan runs its own office in Brussels and considerably contributes to activities of the most important economic organizations and institutions that form the conditions for business ventures in the EU. |
