Social Affairs
PKPP Lewiatan issues opinions on assumptions and drafts of legal acts, governmental programmes and other documents shaping the business environment. They are connected with the labour law and the issues of the labour market, social dialogue and its institutions, both at the national as well as voivodship and branch level, and also with the functioning of the national insurance system and social security.

We cooperate with the Public Administration organisations and take part in parliamentary works. We are very active in the Tripartite Commission on Social and Economic Issues and voivodship commissions of social dialogue, where are taken decisions the most important from the point of view of reconciling the interests of employees and employers.

Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewiatan as a representation of employers acts as a social partner - both to the current government and the trade unions. PKPP Lewiatan plays crucial role in legislative process, especially in developing a regulatory framework for the country's economic growth. Social dialogue is institutionalized which makes us the major opinion-making body and a vital forum for negotiations. As a representative organization, in the light of Polish statutory law, we represent economic interests of employers, both on national and regional level.

PKPP Lewiatan aims at developing social dialogue with trade unions. Our presence in the Tripartite Commission for the social and economic issues entitles us to give an opinion on the budget, negotiate modifications in the Labour Code, present our members' problems. Numerous significant changes in the Polish Labor Code are the contribution of Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewiatan.

PKPP Lewiatan participates in the activity of all Working Groups of Tripartite Commission. Exist such working groups us: Working Group on Labour Law, Social Insurances, Public Services, Economy, Structural Funds and Welfare Benefits. Experts of PKPP Lewiatan participate active in work of all Groups by issuing opinions about projects of the statues and also by preparing new projects of statues. We also carried out autonomic negotiations with trade unions on certain details of provisions. We lead in the Working Group on Labour Law and Social Insurances. Those Groups have crucial impact on statutory law in the scope of labour market.

PKPP Lewiatan has created Board of HR Directors. The board discusses the crucial issues of development of labour law, human resources management and development of competences and qualifications of workers. The main aims of the Board are:

- cooperation of HR Directors from the main companies associated in PKPP Lewiatan;

- support of the PKPP Lewiatan in the field of issuing opinions, harmonization of Polish labour law with EU regulations;

- using the opinions of the Board in activity on the forum of Tripartite Commission of Social and Economic Affairs;

- using the opinion of the Board in the field of projects of EU regulations.

Moreover recommendations of the Board are taken into account during preparation of training projects for employers.

The Board sittings are at least once during quarter.

PKPP Lewiatan is preparing projects for the Consulting and Training Firms. The aim of the projects is, on the one hand to create basis for the lifelong development of competences and qualifications for the members of Confederation. The second purpose is to improve the offer of Training Firms for the companies by precise identification of employers needs. One of the project is “Confederates for Confederates". The aim of the project is to create training offer for companies (members of PKPP Lewiatan) by consulting firms which are also members of PKPP Lewiatan.
