PKPP Lewiatan regularly analyses conditions for business activity, identifies the most serious barriers (every year we publish a “black list of barriers to entrepreneurship”) and takes actions to have those barriers removed. For seven years, acting alone or in cooperation with our partners, we have substantially contributed to the improvement of conditions for enterprises.
Most important achievements
- Act on Freedom of Enterprise
- 19% CIT and PIT tax on business activity
- Revision of the Code of Commercial Companies (own draft)
- In the law on employee councils – a threshold of 50 was adopted for mandatory establishment of employee councils (trade unions demanded 5, the Government – 20)
- Changes in the sectoral law:
- revision of the Law on industrial property,
- transition periods for producers of generic medicines and tobacco,
- lower VAT on housing construction after accession to the EU,
- Changes in the Labour Code:
- longer settlement periods of working time (4, 6, 12 months)
- new kind of substitution contracts,
- companies employing fewer than 20 employees excluded from the obligation to publish regulations of work and remuneration,
- small enterprises (fewer than 20 employees) excluded from the application of the Collective Redundancy Law,
- Numerous cases won in the Constitutional Tribunal, including that concerning termination of collective work agreements
- Civil Initiative campaign “YES in the referendum” for Poland’s accession to the European Union. |
